Music & Acting Classes for Kids Ages 6–12

Kids learn best when strong instruction and encouragement work together. Joy Music Studios helps young students develop real skills in piano, singing and acting while building confidence, creativity and comfort performing in front of others.

What kids study

Three disciplines, one encouraging studio

Students can focus on one discipline or explore more than one as their interests grow.

Piano

Musical foundations that actually stick.

Young pianists build sight reading, rhythm and chord knowledge alongside comfort at the keyboard. Instruction is structured and engaging — kids make measurable progress without the learning ever feeling joyless.

  • Musical foundations and note reading
  • Rhythm, counting and steady pulse
  • Chords and keyboard confidence
  • Structured practice habits kids can keep

Singing

A healthy voice, developed at the right pace.

Kids learn to use their voices well: breath control, accurate pitch, warm tone and growing vocal strength. From there, the focus turns to expression — telling a story with a song and feeling confident doing it.

  • Healthy vocal development for growing voices
  • Breath control, pitch and tone
  • Vocal strength and stamina
  • Artistic expression and performance confidence

Acting

Big imaginations, real technique.

Acting students develop characters, learn to hold a stage and discover how to tell a story an audience believes. Creative risk-taking is encouraged — and the expressive communication skills carry well beyond the stage.

  • Character development and scene work
  • Stage presence and storytelling
  • Creative risk-taking in a safe room
  • Expressive, clear communication

Confidence, on purpose

More Than Lessons

Confidence isn't a side effect here — it's developed intentionally, right alongside technical skill. Every week, students practice the things that make performing feel normal.

  • 01

    Performing in front of others

  • 02

    Communicating clearly

  • 03

    Recovering from mistakes

  • 04

    Trying challenging material

  • 05

    Expressing personality

  • 06

    Working with other performers

On stage

Chances to Perform

Students may have opportunities to take part in recitals, studio productions and community performances. Having something real to work toward changes how kids practice — and how they feel when they finish.

  1. 1. Tell us about the student

A short form — name, age and what they're interested in. Takes about two minutes.

  2. 2. We reach out to match you

We call or text to find the right instructor, program and day for your schedule.

  3. 3. Come in for your free class

Meet the teacher, see the studio and try it for real — students play, sing or act.

  4. 4. Decide if it's a fit

If it feels right, we'll get you enrolled. If not, that's completely okay.
